Free Will
How do I go about defending what I can’t see?
Determinists say, “Heredity, environment, and luck!”
Libertarians say, “Free will, introspection, and undiscovered beings!” (I’m actually not too sure about this one.)
What happened to the soul, body, and spirit? How do I incorporate them into a philosophical argument that would not normally use those terms?
God’s reason for everything can’t be understood by man. No matter how hard man...

So, what if I dropped my plan of becoming an RD and decided I’d pursue a career in biomedical engineering?
The thought started off as a joke to myself, but now I think I’m seriously considering it…
I am...

… tired, sleepy, and weak.
But the cool thing is that although I am weak or sickly, Jesus’ strength is perfected in me. I can do all things through Christ… He’s all we really need.
(And by the way, happy 13th birthday to my little brother NJ, whose party is tomorrow.)

Dear Lord,
pepper-ish:
Thank You for staying with me.
Holy Spirit, thank You for never losing Your patience with me.
I’ve realized that I haven’t made a New Year’s determination list (my equivalent to a resolution list) yet. It’s already been a month since the year has started — maybe I shouldn’t make one anymore..

Could I just take a moment to climb onto my soapbox, and share what the Lord has revealed to me tonight? The subject might seem mundane, and overrated. But I do not endorse that it has ever been talked about enough.
It’s that of the Word.
You see, I believe Christians today, myself included, are…

It is not easy being an ignorant follower of Jesus Christ these days. By ignorant I mean those who do not read and study the Word for themselves but instead take their knowledge from others. It may be from the pastor on Sunday morning or from little snippets off of the Internet or even just…

Dear Child Development Professor,
Over 20 years experience, huh? Than how is it that, after so much time studying a variety of human beings that you think they can all fit into three specific personality categories? “You’re either risk-takers, pleasers, or shy and cautious.” You make the class group up according to your standards. You allow no room for overlap. You don’t even bring to light the importance...

The rain is dangerous this morning!
There have been two accidents already: one near an elementary school, another on a bridge heading for my school.
I thank God I wasn’t in either.

7. Do you have a favorite artist from a country...
(When the question says, “favorite artist,” I assume it’s asking if I have a favorite visual artist, although I know it could include artists who use non-visual art forms.)
Natsuki Takaya for sure! The evolution of her drawing style is evident in the Fruits Basket manga series.
There is also this really cool (but sometimes morbid) artist on Deviantart - who also has a Tumblr...

6. What countries did your ancestors come...
Definitely the country of the Philippines. I’m not sure about my other side, though. I was told a long time ago that I have a little bit of Italian in me, while more recently it has been said that I’m half German. I don’t know. It’s a mystery, hahah!
For most intents and purposes I consider my nationality as Filipino-American — mainly because I didn’t grow up...

I’m not sure…
I would try to use it wisely and for the good of people around me, but other than that I can’t think of what I would use it for.
4. If you were given a year to travel the world...
Ireland, Scotland, Israel, Japan, and Iceland.
